240zphilly Posted July 15, 2012 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Traditionally I've never strayed beyond 16x8 on any s30 or s130 with stock fenders and suspension, but i was curious if anyone here has experience with a 17" wheel on a 280zx? Any issues you run into with clearance or tire sizes or just looking too big on the cars? Any input (and pics) would be greatly appreciated. magnum44 Posted December 12, 2013 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Im running rota's 17 X7.5 in the fronts and 17x8.5 in the rears and have the eibach springs, tokico shocks and don't rub at all...and looks awesome... I also did A lot of research reeding beforing buying anything..did not want to roll fenders or have to deal with spacers or worse rubbing.... Marc280 Posted December 21, 2013 Share Posted December 21, 2013 I'm also running 17's. Rota RB's 17x9.5 in the rear and 17x9 up front. I have slightly lowered suspension and the guards did take a bit of rolling to get them to fit, but I think they look great on the car. There are quite a few pic around on the site with these wheels.
