Woza01 10
Hi Alex...Sorry to hear you are having these problems. As you said... not unexpected, as I clearly documented these issues with the stock cable before the ordering process began. The only way i see if rectifying the problem, would be to remove the extra tab on the lever arm entirely, then grinding the arm to shape so that it will accept the cable clevis. If you do this, ensure you remove as little material as possible whilst still allowing free travel of the clevis through the whole travel arc of the leverKeep us informed how you go!Warren Edited May 7, 2017 by RB26powered74zcar speelling :)
Ereschkigal 0
That is a nice idea, that way I can solve two problems.
mutantZ 10
Got my box from the post office today. I guess they decided not to take me off of my mail hold I put on. Looks great Warren! Thanks again for making these parts available. I'll need to find a powder coater now...
RB26powered74zcar 61
I wish I still lived in SoCal, where they have everything one might be looking for (speed shops etc.) I think I'd have my brackets yellow zinc dipped, instead of powdercoated.... When you live where I am, there are no good places like that locally ...
Woza01 10
Make sure you run a tap through the bolt holes first though mate....i believe a number of brackets werent threaded all the way through....
Ereschkigal 0
We bored out the weld point of the little arm on the MC4. Small problems with the hand brake lever (stock cable) but it works so far. Edited May 13, 2017 by Ereschkigal
rossman 19
Does this look like the correct orientation of the mounted right hand parking brake? Edited January 17, 2018 by rossman
Woza01 10
Ross.....Yes....thats exactly how it should be. Thanks for the photo and update - post more when its finished ! Cheers Warren
rossman 19
Thanks! I will! I wanted to verify because, according to the boxes I received, I had to install the left caliper on the right of the car and vice versa. I couldn't find any markings on the calipers to verify.
