Sim 0 Posted September 23, 2013 Hey guys; I've posted here a few times before, but my project thread is on ontariozcar.com (I'll post the link later). As you can see in the picture below, the passenger side exhaust is impeded by the starter. I was planning on having a 3" single exhaust, but I was going to join the two sides after the transmission like normal. With this tight fit, I'm considering routing the passenger side exhaust under the oil pan, to join with the other side early. Do you think this unequal exhaust length will cause issues? RedBeauty84ZX 10 Posted September 25, 2013 Why not run true dual all the way out? You may want to post this over in the other V8 section here: http://forums.hybridz.org/forum/46-other-v8z-tech-board/ Or even www.v8nissans.com
Xnke 21 Posted September 25, 2013 There are lots of GM 4.3L V6's out there with exhausts routed exactly like what you describe. It would be a total pain in the ass to change out that starter if you ran the pipes under it, not to mention the heat on the starter would likely be detrimental to starter life.
