I just recently lost all of my paperwork during a move but I can probably get another bill of sales. Any help would be greatly appreciated! It was simple, you take you car to the dmv and have an inspector check VIN# on firewall, dash, and door. bfg Posted November 7, 2013 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I don't know if its the same in CA but over here in NH you can call and have a cop come to your residence and do the VIN Verification. I was reading horror stories about having mounds of paper work and running around all over. Did you have to take it to the police station to get verified?
