Wide ZG Flares and Watanabe Style Wheels?

Recommended Posts

I have a 1972 240z with coilovers, sectioned struts (1.5" in the front 1.75" in the rear), and 5 lug conversation. I'm trying to weigh my options, I would love to run these wide zg flares from Retro-Spec:

and I'm looking at the Rota RKR 17x9.5 -20 wheels. I just don't know if these wheels are wide enough to fill out the flares, should I be looking for somthing wider? I love the Watanabe style wheels but does anyone know of any other companys besides Rota or Watanabe that make a wider version of this wheel?

If youre up for it and can handle the math, id recommend pulling a wheel off and doing the measurements to find out exactly where it would sit. You know the width of the wheel/offset and how much the flares would add. It would be pretty easy to see where the wheel would sit.
