anyone know if i can use the cold start valve from an 80zx on my 77 280z. They are $115 in motorsport and i dont what to spend thousands malebitchslap.gif replacing parts on my f.i. Also is there anyway to test if this is true cause of problem. I'm just going from previous owners word.

Thanx in advance,

Steve D

Should be less than $20 at your local serve yourself yard. Make sure the wiring on your car is good first. I think there is a switch mounted in the thermostat housing, that should be checked as well.

If you take it out, hook up some presured liquid then apply 12V accross the terminals it should shoot the liquid out.

Car should start up a lot easier after you get it fixed.

hey dude, a company i have used before is Victoria British ltd. (http://www.victoriabritish.com) They probably have what your looking for. In any case, order a free catalog. they have almost every single part for 1970-1996 240Z-300ZX's. Their products can be expensive, but on some they are very fair.
