Misfiring 260

My 260 is misfiring one one possibly 2 cylinders, is there a quick and easy way to find out which one(s)? and how should i go about testing them to find out where the problem is?

not really... ignition problems are usually have very simple causes, but can be a total bastard to find. 1st off, you need to find out which cylinders are misfiring. Do this by pulling plugs. If you pull a plug and the motor doesnt run any worse - chances are you've found a faulty spot.

 

Once you determine which plugs arent firing, find out why. Examine the plugs, wires, and cap. Make sure the plugs have the proper gap. you might have to play with it a while. Whatever the case though, if its the same plugs not firing every time, the problem is in the high tension circuitry, so check that stuff out...
