Im using the patrols 4 speed manual transmission. The motor fits well into the nissan but now comes the complicated things... Im not going to turbocharged the engine. Go for the original ecu. Haltech?? Other... Clifton Posted August 7, 2005 Share Posted August 7, 2005 I'd use the stock ecu. Factory ecu's are pretty easy to wire into other cars with a diagram. The ecu is the same for all years vh45de? Or there are differents models? Guest cvdf Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 have you put the engine in the car already?and the transmission bolts up' date=' with no modifications?[/quote'] Did a home made flywheel -is for off roading, so it must be a little heavier than the original for torque gaining- , im going to use the original clutch from the patrol -the radius of the clutch fits perfectly the radius of the flywheel- , and the rest is an iron plate to fit the bellhouse from the patrol with the block. I have put a ford 46O that way and it worked fine... the problem is that the ford motor has to much torque on low rpm range, so the transmission, diffs, everything suffers to much... besides, the ford is carburated and it weights 720kg or more... ahhh...and ford sucks... ...japanese roolez The transmission fitting can be done by any ¨tornero¨.. dont know how to say that in english and is not complicated. hope this is usefull Saludos Chris Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So, there should be 3 different ECUs. 1990 are generally regarded as the best year for performance, as long as you replace the timing chain guides while the engine is still good.
