The older I get, the cornier my old plate seems. Back in the late '80's through mid '90s, local autocross club I raced with named my '75 280-Z "BRAAP" because of the great exhaust note. Nicely tuned mild N/A L28 exhaling through a pair of 2" pipes with cheesy $20 glass pack mufflers, has one the sweetest melodic exhaust notes. Any how, the name stuck, got the plate, retired the plate back in late '00, it mostly hangs around various locations within the shop, spent some time on the back of the race car for nostalgic reasons when I had it running.

Now you know the story behind my goofy user name.

BRAAAAP...BRAAAAAAAAP.....BRAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa............

Until TX raised their rates to ridiculous levels.

Tried to get the same thing in NJ. It was rejected because it was "objectionable". Surprise, surprise. No apparent way to appeal, no standards by which they judge. Just depends on who's desk it lands I'm guessing.
