that and its already setup with the wire. im an electrician and i dont want to do more wiring just messing. thanks for the tip

i wouldn't expect a comment like that from an electrician.

you can get some 4 guage copper audio wire and easily make that device you have there. But i guess since it's not BMW it's not good enough?

It's almost as if you don't trust your own wiring. and considering you thought that one terminal was a positive, and one was a negative, I can only imagine what type of electrical devices you wire, to be honest.

what were you expecting with two opposite terminals attached at a big breaking switch? you'd probably end up welding yourself to the switch if you set it up that way.

lol. good thing you came on here to post it! you could have seriously injured yourself.

I am also a wiring specialist... low voltage TV studio...

The wires from BMW have a very tough outer sheath on the insulation jacket... That wire is tough as nails... not very flexible though... It is similar to the MILspec cable available through aircraft suppiers... HIGH$$$ stuff... and hard to find locally...

The wire and parts could easily be worth $40 plus labor to assemble.. BMW did a good job with assembly as well...

That said.. I would start from scratch on anything I wanted to show off...

Milspec cable...

Multi colored-custom printed heat-shrink tubing...

Braided scuff protectors and braided mounting pigtails...

Multipin, O-ringed, alloy bodied connectors...

Silicone witch's-hat grommets

Braided nylon overwrap(snakeskin) on entire harness with silicone overwrap on the engine bay harness...
