Sorry i never signed in on this. I've had my 83 280zx since August 2004. Started tearing it down about 2 years ago, money got a little tight. It has a 383 stroker SBC with 700r4 tranny. Got a few pics of things i've done but not really as many as i should have.

Here it is the day i bought it.

Here it is with the rolled engine bay

1977 280z dash retro-fitted... not going to keep. going to make a custom

And here is a photoshop that i believe Mikelly did a while back by my request of I THINK DavidK's car... Anywho this is what i want my ZX to look like in the end. Possibly a dark lime green color tho.

I've still got alot of work to do to it.. About to tear the engine and tranny back out and do the widebody and some other mods. I'll post more as it happens :D

Well I've been on this board forever, but I don't think I've posted pics of my zx yet. It's been through several changes, mostly dealing with the wheel/tire combo (thanks to the giant potholes that appear on the freeways after the rain here in Cali, I15->I8 merger FTL). Here's the current setup:

I just got my Z back up and running after blowing a headgasket back in April. I'm so glad to be driving my Z again rather than the 510!

Hey Everyone!

I've got a 79 s130, all stock. I had a little suspension and cooling system work done on it last summer, but now its running good. I also recently discovered HybridZ and ive been living on the forums ever since, absorbing everything ive been paging thru. Now im debating between swapping in a l28et or a 1jz-gte. Only time will tell!

Hi slownrusty,

Thanks for the good words.

Wheels are made in Australia and are basically the same as the BBS LM style... not cheap but worth it!

I will update the pictures over the next few weeks as progress is good at present.

Yesterday the front wheels were on and it actually looked like a car!!!

Cheers Grant

Here's my junk. Bone Stock except for the turbo wheels. L28E, automatic, turbo wheels, 200K miles. It's just been sitting next to my shop for the last year as my current project is an '85 Camaro Z28. I do eventually plan to do something with it.
