Wheel Show! Post your pics of you wheels

Recommended Posts

Street wheels and tires: 16X8 Rota RBR with 225/50/16 cheapest brand I can get since I love to "waste 'em."

Drag wheels and tires: 15X7 rear with 26X8.5X15 MT ET Drag (tubes and wheel screws), 15X4 front with 155/80/15 BFG skinnies.

Autocross (no picture): 15X7 nasty no-name mesh with 225/50/15 BFG R1 all 4 corners. Copious brake dust.

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em!

  • 2 weeks later...

What's the offset and backspace of those wheels str8pipez? I tried to measure to see if the XXR 530s with 0 offset would fit my 280 with the stock suspension and 205 to 215 tires. Still not sure.

Nice ride Rebekah, those Rotas make such a good fitment. Not too big, still pretty good street tire selection... jealous, I'm on 15's looking for some 17's and not excited about the look :( But all in the name of street tires.

So do you think I could run 225/50-16 on all four corners without any problems with the stock 78 280z suspension? I plan on running the XXR 530 16x8.25 0 offset and going to cut my stock spring to lower the car about an inch or slightly more.

What rims are these? They look very nice btw!

Those look like the XXR 527's like st8tpipez is running, just in silver. XXR is one of the few wheel companies that have .25-.75 inch increments

Gmanatc yes you can get away with it, unless you cut your springs a godawful amount and rub on bumps. Just buy some lowering springs, They're like a couple hundred.

Not sure on the effect of cut springs, but concerning the first part of your question.. "225/50/16 on all four.. stock suspension...". You could almost say "Everybody's doing it".

Cutting the springs is kind of a half thought at this point. If I can put the 225s on, then I am going to go that route and see how it looks like for now. Then down the road I will lower it. I don't plan on slamming it down, just get a little more aggressive stance (1"-1 1/2"). Thanks for the info on the fitment.

Tires are 225/50/16.

The springs have settled approximately another 1/2" since I took the above pictures.
