Wheel Show! Post your pics of you wheels

Recommended Posts

I got my XXR 527 in 16x8.25 +0 yesterday.   It's a tight fit, but I think I can fit 225x50x16 tires into the Z with only rolling the fender lip.

I also weighed one on my postage scale.  16lbs 12oz each, seems fairly light for a wheel? (no complaints)

Also, the centercap they come with snaps perfectly and securely into the 280ZX snowflake wheels....an option for those with missing centercaps if you could find them!

Boyd Coddington Billet alloys.

17x7 with 225/50R17 on the front and 245/17ZR17 on the rear.

The reason the front is so high is because the 302 Cleveland that will be weighing it down in future is currently sitting in the shed on a few blocks waiting to be built.

The tyres are bald freebies from a number of tyre shops around the nearest town, bald and non-legal, but they did fine to size up the tyre fitment and check it all works.

Once it's all together and on the road once more I think I'll be going 225/45R17 on the front, a 225/45 would match wall height to a 40/245, 225/50 is a bit taller.

XXR 527 16x8.25 +0 offset.

225/50/16 dunlop direzzas (non r compoundl). I want to flare the car so I can run 255s all around, maybe next year.

The tires have a very slight stretch, I'm not a fan of it but it's not very apparent.  I also couldn't find black tuner lugs anywhere locally, so I'll be ordering a set.

Also, the centercap does not fit on the front due to the hub.  Drat.

Tires actually rubbed a bit, and I had to raise it up some more.  I think I'm going to rent a fender roller and give that a shot.  I think the springs or shocks may be getting a bit tired as well.   There is no interference with the tire while turning.

Just good post production. Probably shot with a 5D mark 3

Simple post production involving desaturating and adding contrast to the background. Also it was taken with a Nikon D5000, not that. Wheels are most certainly enlarged in Photoshop, but tech junk aside, that is a beauty of an S130. I'd love to see an un-doctored photo of it. Given the amount of editing, it wouldn't surprise me if it's not even orange in real life, but it sure looks good.

I got my wheels a few days ago. I ended up getting 15x8.25 0 offset, because of my budget.

I was told on this forum by roger280zx that I could run 225/50-16s on all four corners, but whats the most you can get away with without any rub issues on a 15" rim?

There is very little gap between the wheel and the shocks with the car on jack stands, so how much room will I have with the car on the ground?

I think I can only get away with 215/60-15s on all four, am I wrong?

Did you ever get these rims mounted?

I guess I'll post this here even though the other thread is right above right now.

Weld Racing Draglites. 15x3.5" 1.5"? backspace 15x8 5.5" backspace rears.

3/8" spacer in the front, 1/2" in the rear.

165 60 15 radials out front, 28x11.50x15 Hoosier QTP's out back

Custom TTT uprights (to move the wheels back in the well)

TIGHT FIT. And yes, everything clears.
