Hey guys,

I have a 1973 350 chev and TH350 trans

I just got a '98 WS6 T56 transmission with bellhousing .

From what i read this will bolt up to my motor?

I need help on selecting flywheel and clutch

is there anything special that i need to know about when using t56 on gen I small blocks?

what flywheel/clutch did you use?

I believe the input shaft is not the right length for the LS1 T56. Thh LT1 t56 will go in however. Sell the LS1 unit, and buy an LT1 (you can probably make some $ on the deal)

Thanks for the reply, damn i didnt want to hear that... so ill need to change the imput shaft... or get a lt1 t56.

I wonder if the ls1 t56 its too short or too long

I used the Weir kit and am extremely happy with it as well. I had a few reasons to do so, the stock slave sucks in my opinion, bad placement and I really didn't like the way the hoses hook up. Also I didn't want to use the pull type clutch, expensive and not many choices for flywheel clutch combinations. The Weir kit is the standard push type and uses a hydraulic throwout bearing. I love it! works better than anything I have used so far!
