LS Coils Charge Time

Am using a set of GM LS coils with built in ignitors on the VG30DET, driven directly by a MoTec M600. Problem is they are breaking down ~6000 rpm with stock spark plug gaps.

 

A friend suggests that the problem may be caused by an incorrect constant charge time, he suggests 5ms. To check this out the car has to go back on the dyno so any informed opinions would be helpful.

 

The coils look different to those used on Corvettes, they are used on family type vehicles so may be a lower capacity? If the present coils are unsuitable for 450whp @ 7500rpm then please advise.
