Break in advice for chrome piston rings?

Now, I know that chrome piston rings are not the first choice these days, but let's say you were stuck with using them. Can anyone give advice about breaking these in most efficently? I've heard they can take 10,000 miles to fully break in. Any way shorten that time period?

Assuming that the block was correctly honed with the proper finish stone and cross hatch for chrome rings, no, there is nothing you can do.

Chrome rings were and are typically used in environments where some dirt is going to enter the induction system. IMO the bores wear more in this case when using chrome rings. Just my experience mainly in quads and bikes.
