The Sunbird gauges I used to make the quad gauge in place of the tach has 4 individual gauges motors attached to the back of a translucent face. The face could be made however you want, and the gauges moved to what ever location you want. There is a small circuit board that goes along with the quad gauges but I'm not really sure if it's needed or not, I know it has a "check gauges" IC and driver circuit incorporated that if the oil pressure gauge is below a certain point or the temp gets to high it triggers a light to come on, I used a red LED in the upper left corner of the gauge face, I think you can see it in the video, that has a loink in the thread I made. If you want these parts to play with I could send them your way, like I said I'm switching back to a 260 Tach, and Auto Meter gauges. I use a Porsche tach housing and Porsche gauges to make it, so it wouldn't work for your application. The street version of that gauge has the warning lights and turn signal. Westach was mentioned. They can make pretty much any gauge combination you want, but won't have the warning & turn signal lights. You should contact Mark @ Big Mark Design. He makes custom gauges for a variety of cars and his prices are pretty reasonable. Do a search for bigmarkdesign. No affiliation. I am assuming that the tach just uses a modern tach pulse signal. The fuel gauge, temperature gauge and oil pressure (?) gauge will all have their own input requirements. Is the fuel gauge resistance based and if so, do you know the empty and full values? Oil pressure and engine temperature sensors are easy to install, well, for most members on this site. gumbajv Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Westach made the dual a/f gauge. The gauge housing was a little smaller than the clock housing. I cut the back of the clock housing off and slid the Westach gauge in. They can make pretty much any combination you want. I used Innovate LC-1 senders. You can recalibrate the LC-1 via laptop to work with any gauge. In my gauge combination the oil pressure, oil temp., and fuel gauge are stock Porsche gauges so I used the stock senders. The tach is by Stewart Warner. I took the tach apart and had a new dial overlay made to match the Porsche lettering. I took the tach signal off the coil. I took the fuel sender out of the gas tank and measured the values at full (.003), 3/4 (.020), 1/2 (.035), 1/4 (.051), empty (.070).
