-10an pressure gauge inline fitting?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've been scouring the net trying to find this piece with no luck. I thought I'd post here since its not z related.

I need a male -10an on one side and 1/8npt teed off, and a -10an female on the other side. This is to read oil pressure off an oil cooler line.

summit racing has one an o-ring seal on one end. Can I use o-ring male fittings with non-o-ring female fittings? That would probably the best option since that is a straight fitting.

thanks

Oliver

you said male on one end and female on the other? That is not the one you showed, it is male on both ends. The oring straight thread have to go into a female hole designed for an oring. You could not use the oring on a hose end. you should be able to get a pressure reading on tons of places in a oil system. Drill and tap the oil filter adapter housing if you have one or use the stock gauge port wherever it is. The whole pressurized system should read the same no matter which side of the cooler it is on. Are you trying to diagnose an issue?

Here is the male to femal with 1/8 pipe you were asking for. It is made to fit inline with hose fittings.

The pressure will drop on the downside of a cooler. There is always pressure drop in a dynamic fluid flow system across a cooler or any piping at all for that matter.
