After 20 years of always wanting one, I've finally got a 240z '73 model... ... however its got a few glitches and need your help: Cold air only blowing from the heater; Reversing lights on when going forward; Rear window not working thuding from the rear wheel on rough ground will be purchasing a haynes manual as soon as but all help welcomed. jazzsax Posted November 10, 2008 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Cold air problem could be that the cable from the lever to the regulator, has broken. I think its called a regulator, anyway it is located under the dash on the inside of the firewall near the blower motor. I have had 3 of the regulators go out and at least 2 cables. If it is just the cable you can check it out by moving the lever (near the radio) back and forth. If there is little or no restance it could be the cabls. Mine has been that way for about a year. If so, and you need heat, you can manually reach under the dash to move the lever on the regulator to allow heat in the passenge area.
