vega Posted February 15, 2009 Share Posted February 15, 2009 i have a 90 nissan 240sx coupe i am planning on dropping in a sbc in BUT i am having a hard time with figured out the balance with weights i have searched and searched but i keep getting different answers. 1. how much does a nissan ka24de plus trans weigh? 2. how much does a old school (98 older non ls non lt motor) sbc weigh with a turbo 400 auto trans all iron 3. same as number 2 but with aluminum heads and intake 4. how much does a ls1 weigh with auto trans. i am looking at doing something like the hinson super car ls but i am avoiding all that computer crap so i want to see the diff in weight to see how off the weight balance will be for handling purposes. thanx for any help. I think 'definitive weight thread' or something similar was the title. info I have on a KA says 368lbs, but I don't know if that is with or without a tranny (I'm guessing without...)
