Calico Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 I used to be heavy in the nissan/datsun scene when i had z32s now i have a buick grand national project and i am looking to get back in to nissans a little. I like the ease and reliablity of the gen 3/4 chevy motors and would like something powered by that. Today i randomly came across a extremely clean garaged 80zx n/a 5speed. the guy wants it gone and is only looking for a couple hundred bucks. Now i know that no makes a "kit " for the 280zx but is the anyone that has done the swap that might be able to help me with building this? I would like to use the 5.3 and a t56. some issues i have heard about are headers, motor mounts, cross member and some issue with the steering box?
