The Z31 or Z32?

If it's the Z32, the engine bay already looks like 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag. That said, someone is in the process of a TT SBC in a Z32 so it can be done. The SBF is a little more compact so it should be a little easier as well.

Unless it's a 5.0 HO (it will say on top of the engine) I wouldn't bother with it. Not sure if Grand Marquis came with them, if it's just a regular 5.0 I wouldn't bother.

$1000 is a lot of money for that car 90k or not, you can find a running 5.0 HO for cheaper than that.

Yeah, no kidding. Not to rain on your parade, but that Grand Marquis engine is a real turd. Non HO engine. Sloooowwww.

The Z32 came with 222 hp, the non HO 5.0 was good for 150hp and a twig pulling 270 ft/lbs torque... Really, the torque is not that bad but you have to look at the curves to really appreciate how wheezy the stock 5.0 really is. Acceptable low end torque but beyond that, you'll be saying "Geesh, is this really a V8, when is this thing gonna start pulling??"

It's like putting a flathead in your GT Mustang, what's the point? Certainly not worth the headaches. Get the 225 hp/300 Ft/lb HO motor, HP is in line with the stock Z32 but the torque will just kill the V6. That would be worth the swap.
