Wiring a Walbro Fuel Pump?

The relay should have 4 connectors or possibly 5. If you look at the bottom where the blades are, they should be marked 30, 87, 85, 86. If it has 5, the 5th will be marked 87a but you can ignore that one.

Here is how to wire up the pump/relay:

- Run a 10g wire from the battery to the 30 connector on the relay. Put a 20a in-line fuse on that wire

- Run a 10g wire from the 87 connector on the relay to the pump +

- Connect the original pump positive wire to the 86 connector on the relay

- Connect the 85 connector on the relay to ground. 18g wire will suffice

- Run a 10g wire from the pump - to a good ground.

Note the use of 10g wire and make sure you have good connections as previously stated.
