Wondering if anyone has heard of/used these power lock units. It comes with an alarm system as well, and for the price, it'd be nice if it were a decent system. Thanks guys.

Nope..but iknow that this is a good lock system.

Thanks for the suggestions. They seems to be a little more legit. Would it be unwise to get their keyless entry in a bundle with it, or would an aftermarket alarm system cover/include all the necessary parts? I don't really want to spend $200. on an alarm (perhaps this is a stupid thing for me to say) But what are some affordable/reliable options for security systems?

Heres the deal....both of those systems shown are pretty decent...of course I would go with Spal over autoloc since spal seems to be a more "legit" company, but if u look close, most of the parts are the same besides the alarm siren and a few other small aprts... why not get the added convenience of an alarm with power locks instead of just power locks....because with the amount of work your doing to mount and wire the power locks, all it requires is an additional 4 -6 wires for an alarm. You can go with a proven company such as DEI for your alarm....they make alarms such as, Viper, clifford, pyton, or Avital. Personally, I used an Avital for years without any issue. You will need a relay for the locks, but usually Best Buy sells everything you would need....actuators are like $25 each i believe, they wont sell you an alarm without installation usually...

heres a good cheap alarm i found quickly on ebay...

This is something I want to do to the Z to bring some convenience to the classic daily driver, not to mention not have to unlock doors manually anymore and risk scratching the paint.

Heres this "how-to" found on a celica forum.... relatively the same procedure...just on your Z

good luck!

Did you ever install the power locks? I'm trying to find a place to fit the actuators. It's pretty tight.
