About Me

I have been intrested in z cars, ever since my parents loaned me an 1984 White 300zx, before I was even in high school, it was not a turbo, but had an turbo hood and intake cover from the previous owner. My parents sold that car, then they gave me an 1979 chevy shortwide black with chrome trim, it was mildly modified. I purchased my first 280z from an car auction in 2002, I paid 120$ for it, The car didn't run and had sheet metal floor boards. I never knew about jtr or the hybrid z web site, so i started on my first engine swap, I was in high school and had extremely scarce funding. that being said I fabbed my own mounts using a hoist and motor mounts off of a 1975 truck. this all worked well, by the time I was done I had spent no more than $1200 on a running driving 280z sbc swap, the only parts that were outsourced was the driveshaft and exhaust.

AUG 29 2006 I enlisted into the US NAVY, I signed an contract for five years as an aviation machinest mate, Which is jet engine mechanic in lammens terms I finished my first tour re-building the GE-T700-401C engines at FRC SW in san diego, ca. My second tour is currently is in san diego also I am an mechanic for the MH-60S helicopter, My job requires that I work on engines, transmissions, fuel system, and vibration analysis.

I currently have A 1971 240z with an 1988 small block chevy engine, and a bowtie overdrives level 2 700r4. I rebuilt the engine bottom end, I paid an shop to do the heads, they are stock heads with bigger valves and LT1 valve springs. the bottom end has speed pro pistions .30 over flat tops with 2 vale reliefs, cast scat crank, and scat I beam rods. I am running an hurricane intake manifold, with an 600 eldebrock carb. The car runs and drives now, The welded r180 is on its last legs with the 245 tires.

I am a gun enthusist, a prior computer tech, with limited welding expierence. I don not like califorina, and would much rather be in texas. If you read this, and are in my area I always like to help people with thier projects.
