Thank you for the response, I've tried the msd tach adapter because I had one lying around the shop but the dakota digital unit you referenced looks promising. I've got the car running about 17psi now and making 440whp but I would still like to get all these small loose ends tied up. really happy with the swap overall, its a ton of fun on the road.

Hello everybody my name is Felix and Im in the middle of a 1jzgte swap into my 77z as the title states. I really want to stick with the stock gauge cluster and I have already got the oil pressure and water temp gauges working but Im having trouble getting the tach to operate. I tried searching and can't find any concrete answers that I haven't tried already. Here are some pics of the car the day I started it up and took it around the block. The hood isn't on because I'm waiting on a 90 degree fitting for the oil line so I'm riding around getting the bugs out of it like this. And my other cars so you know Im a z nut. The red one is a sohc vg30 that makes 620whp and the other is a stock lowered shiro in need of a front lip Thank you
