  1. Thanks Bludestiny, on that note, would you think the Exedy deal above from ebay is worth getting, or would you recommend going up a step and either going to Centerforce or Exedy Stage 1+.
  2. Thanks for the replies, does anybody know or have an opinion on the comparison between exedy's oem replacement and similarly priced Centerforce models (say Centerforce I & II) Because if everyone is recommending the fidanza flywheel, it seems like a good buy for 399 on ebay.
  3. Hi everyone, I've owned a 1983 turbo that i bought in miserable condition about 3 years ago, every time i get a little money im trying to turn it into a dream. Here's a pic. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/145/365311052_321eaf7480.jpg?v=0 So i've been trolling this site for a long time, but only recently joined. I'm in the finishing stages of dropping everything back in the car, so im looking at my options for clutch and flywheels. My clutch is gone, it looks like its been throw in a pizza oven for a while. Im 100% replacing that entire assembly, as for my flywheel, it appears to be the original but has little wear, i dont even think a machine shop would be necessary to balance it, although for 25 bucks or so i'll have it done anyway. So, your opinions, is a stock flywheel worth keeping even if its in great condition (i plan to run the car around 280-300 BHP for most of this clutch/flywheel's life) I wont be particularly racing the car, but will probably take it to autocross events a few times a year, mostly it will be a weekend driver. Im willing to spend a little money to upgrade if its worth the upgrade, but dont want to needlessly spend money, but like i said, i want to be proud of this project. Right now im researching my options on the internet for ordering parts. Here's two things ive found and i want to know everyone's opinions on the two 1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310094704749&viewitem= Questions. How good of a deal is this? I know the flywheel itself costs about 250-300 usually, so is the exedy clutch worth considering at basically 100 dollars??? 2. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?D=nissan+280zx+clutch+kit&Ntt=nissan+280zx+clutch+kit&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=main&PN=886&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&N=0&Nty=1&VN=+4294967085+4294965736&Nr=AND%28universal:0%29&refType=Brand&refValue=Centerforce 240 plus shipping from the Stage I, and 280ish plus shipping for the Stage II . For my power output would a stage II make a difference? Are stage II lifespans shorter or longer for Centerforce, and on that note if i bought a centerforce (i would have to buy the throwout bearing separately, i assume straight from centerforce) would i need to get a new flywheel? (Since this package does not include it, as opposed to the exedy package above) So, opinions, you got 'em, i need 'em, HELP ME OUT PLZ thanks everyone, and i hope in the future to be an active member of this forum, i plan on spending a good, long while with this car
