  1. Hey guys i'm Still having problems with my car. Here is an updated log and tune. The car does not like any throttle movement i have to keep it at about 10% throttle. It also wont go over 2psi of boost. What do you guys think? Can something be wrong on my setup or the MS it self or does the tune just need more work? Appreciate any feed back https://www.dropbox.com/s/566iz9ss365z667/2014-06-22_17.12.51.msq https://www.dropbox.com/s/sa1toakwk8bq8qp/2014-06-22_16.20.37.msl Thanks Manny
  2. Wickiewicked240z, Yeah that's me! @ motomanmike, Thanks for you input and advise.
  3. NewZed, I did not buy the the map sensor to fix the problem. Metro, I know the map sensor would not change the values in the VE table I was referring to the range of the ve table. Yes I'm running 480cc injectors. Dexter72, I have a few of Cygnus maps along with a few others I found that are close to my setup i might have to use them as references. Thanks for your feed back guys, thanks to all the feed from you guys and DIY we re-looked at the map and might have a grasp on it now. I will posted the progress The issue might be 1. inexperience with MS. and 2. insecurity, I think we are holding back too much because we are afraid to hurt the engine due to the lack of knock sensor. Whats advise do you have regarding number 2? any pointers? thinking of buying the knocksenseMS from http://www.viatrack.ca/ when dealing with timing what is conservative, Traditional, aggressive and just plane extreme? Thanks Manny
  4. Hey guys I'm having some issues with my car and wanted to see your advise. Here my issue. my L28et running MS2 which My buddy is tuning ran into an issue that the car will not take boost it runs fine under atmospheric pressure but as soon as we get any boost it falls on it face it cuts the fuel at 1 or 2 psi. I recently swapped the regular map sensor for the mapdaddy 4bar map sensor, would incorrect settings make this happen? we did notice that the VE table is still displaying the same range as when the 2.5 map sensor was on. Any ideas or suggestions? Ben at DIYautotune said "that tune shows excessive fuel and a large fall off on timing advance. The motor has no chance of running on that file" Thanks, Manny you can see my MSQ by going to this link since i was unable to upload. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ss4vi8a63jm18k/2014-06-23_manny240z.msq
  5. I already looked and searched on existing maps thread and the thread says not to ask for maps on that thread to start a new post. I'm just asking in case someone has my same setup.
  6. Hi guys, I want to know if any has any MS2 MSQ or map they can share for my new setup. Im running MS-II PCBv3 4 bar MAPDADDY My set up is build L28et with P90 head and N42 manifold L28ET bored out to 88mm Ratio is at 9:1 Schneider cam 284-70F Head is mildly ported -T3/T4 hybrid turbo -AEM 50-1200 electric fuel pump -upgraded fuel rail -240sx TB -Arizona Z TB spacer -CX racing FMIC -3 inch exhaust -FORD EDIS 36-1 trigger wheel with VR sensor. Still on the Ford Module with Coil on plugs. -injectors are 480cc at 43.5psi (3bar) You guys were such a big help last time so I thought I’d ask again. I’m getting the car tune but my tuner has me waiting. So I thought I’d ask to see if someone has a tune I can use for now. Also any suggestion on a spark plug I’m using the NGK coppers with a smaller gap. Thanks Manny
  7. thanks dough I will let you know if I need anything else.
  8. Zya. Well I pretty much need everything haven't had time to go hit the yards. The main thing im looking for is the trigger wheel and the sensor bracket. preferably the pulley with the trigger wheel. Ednasty619 what do you have and how much are you asking? Pm me
  9. anyone selling a EDIS setup for a megasquirt L28et???
  10. Hey guys haven't been on here in a while but busy with work and working on my z's. But I have a dilemma, I build my motor this summer, it looks good & promising I'm running MS2 on the car and it was running good but had not opened it up to full potential until it was broken in. However the car took a turn for the worst last night it would not even start i took it back to my tuner for him to look at. So my dilemma; Should I stay with Megasquirt or switch to something else for engine management? I had really good results on my first 240z with a Z31 ecu. I have mix feelings on MS. I was also told to go EDIS if im going to stick with megasquirt. what do you guys advise?
  11. Now that I worked out and figured out my dead time where do I input that value?
  12. i finally got around to spend sometime on my Z and I did the whole plot a graph thing to find the injector dead time. I came up with a 0.3ms dead time. I also installed my wideband but its acting funny. I calibrated based on the instructions that came with it but I think it reset it self when the battery gave out. So now I have a question does the o2 get un-calibrated when it loses power? Do i have to take out o2 and re-calibrate? Thanks
  13. So you don't use the wideband 2.5 mm output db9 serial adapter?
  14. I finally got my innovate LC-1 wideband i will be installing it hopefully tomorrow. but I have a quick question, when using the wideband does it have to be plugged in to the serial port on my laptop or just as long as the wideband analog out put 1 or 2 is wire to the megasquirt o2 input wire?
