  1. I tried to send you a message. Your inbox is full. Are you able to make hubs and the Porsche caliper brakes again?

  2. Just a few more updates. I mentioned before that iv been in composites (mainly carbon fiber) for about 7ish years. My plan is to have about 90% of the body carbon fiber. About 3 weeks ago I woke up, poured my coffee and did my usual craigs list "Datsun" search. For me I hit the jack pot. A HUGE part of making parts is making the molds. So when I saw that a guy near me was selling a ton of molds for s30s I immediately hopped in the truck and bought them all. That was part of the deal. All the molds or nothing. I really just wanted the "Stock" style hood, 3 piece tall wing, type 1 air dam, and the stock style front fenders. BTW all the other molds I have are for sale. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/123438-fiberglass-molds-for-s30-parts-wide-body-wings-lips-hoods-louvers-etc/ The plan before I got the car was and LS swap. A couple months ago one of my coworkers said the had a low milage LM3 (LS) motor for sale. $300 later I snagged it. The motor is the 4 wheel drive motor which is nice as its the higher 15hp and aluminum block. Im kinda in the air as what I want to do with the motor. As of right now Im thinking LS1 heads, mild cam, and a aftermarket intake manifold with all the bolt ons. This will be a track car. Im really trying to not go overboard with HP as its easy to do with these LS motors. Im shooting for 400rwhp. WIth the above mods that pretty easy to do. I plan on matching this motor up with a 6 speed T56 tranny. Lastly for today, I ordered some Brinkworth fender flairs a few weeks go. They showed up the other day. I really like the styling. I may change up the front fender flairs a bit. Ill be making these in carbon as well down the road.
  3. Iv been collecting parts for the past few months. Iv built a handful of cars/trucks and what iv learned over and over is to buy what I want the first time and to be patient. When I was in high school my favorite wheels at the time (early 2000s) were the SSR Koenig 3 piece wheels. I worked at a performance shop and a customers Supra had them and I was in love. So when I set out to buy a set (which wasn't easy) I knew exactly what I wanted. I really couldn't find these wheels. I did find a set right off the bat, but they were 18s and I was set on 17s. My R33 that I owned had Work wheels and I kinda settled that I would buy those again. After a lot of ebay searching I found a guy who sold JDM wheels. Thought it would be a shot in the dark but id ask if he knew of a set. He said he actually had a set. They were pretty beat. I really just bought the wheels for the faces. Offset was way off and they were not wide enough. Ill be getting new lips and barrels. Full wheel rebuild. So for kicks I took a wheel apart and flipped the lips. To my surprise the outside lip is pretty close to what I want. Almost too close.... Iv got big plans for the wheels. Wwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiddddddddeeeeeeeee........
  4. Thanks man. She looks a lot better in pictures. I've got my hands full... Yeah there seems to be a handful of Orlando guys on here. Yeah he's a good dude. Lucky he's local. I see him being quite envolved with this build. I do have a bit more to post. I just need to sit down and upload pics. Haha. I'll let you know when I get started.
  5. Hey guys, Iv been learking on HZ for about 6 months. Mostly doing research and soaking up a lot of info. Just a little about myself. Iv built a handful of cars/trucks/motorcycles. From a R33 Skyline, Range Rover rock crawler, 2 prerunners, etc. This is my first race car build. This is my first car that iv completely torn down to build. Im pretty handy with welding and most fab work. I owned my own Carbon Fiber business for about 7 years. Most of the car will be carbon. In a short, this car will be super light, big motor, and probably to nice to actually race. I been racing on 2 wheels for about 20 years. Figured id give 4 wheels a shot. Enough about me... 1972 240Z. This is the day i bought her. $1,700. She looked* good at the time. A few weeks later I had her all stripped and headed over to JPN Garage to have her media blasted. A few days later Fernando had her all blasted. When he called he said "Have you seen the new Mad Max movie yet? Yep someone worked some bondo magic on her. I don't feel too bad as most of the body panel will be carbon fiber. When i got her back from media blasting to completly stripped the car and made a dolly for her. Sense then iv been collecting parts. More soon...
