My sunshine

Here is my baby as she sits. Sad but true. I bought her back in 94' from the original owners son after he passed away. The car had 20 something thousand original miles. I was 18 and drove this bad boy across the country a few times and have alot of good stories to go along with her. The original owner trashed the fuel inj. and put on a set of duel downdrafts. In 98 i got a twin turbo z and my sunshine got put in the garage. I decided to paint it and get her back into tip top shape. Well right after we painted her, I mean within hours of coming out of the booth, I started her up and there was a bad noise from the engine. story cut short, valves dropped and blew holes in 2 pistons. we pulled the engine and at that point I was going to do a complete resto on it. right. it got tore apart and sat in the garage for years under a cover. I now have the right brains in my head in my mid 30's to get this car done. I have 3 sbc sitting there so guess what. were gonna make sunshine a little monster. im debating which engine to put in. I think my twinturbo set up is too much. I had it in another car and it was putting down almost 500 at the wheels. I'm thinking my 355 that has around 375 at the crank might be all she can handle. just got 5 lug hubs so I guess Im off to the races. There will be more to come.
