Here the sunroof is closed and has the shade rolled out to keep most of the light out. There is a grid of small holes throught this shade so some light does get in but not anything that would cause a glare or the feeling of sun being on you. One hint is don't spray a cleaner on it that has any kind of a soap in it. It can leave what appears to be a water mark when the soap dries.
