  1. Yeah good luck with everything in college, hope you do well and get the z finished up when you get back. I'm at college right now, but I'm lucky enough to have wireless internet everywhere and a laptop, but I sure paid for that in the tuition, pretty expensive down here. Just try and forget about working on the car for awhile, that's what I'm trying to do so I don't go insane.

  2. Pics are here in my album.

I just picked it up in the last couple days for $950, floors are completely gone, but the po included new floors, floor supports, and seat brackets. Brakes were replaced all around along with the master cylinder. Still need to swap over the turbo rims. All that I did so far was get the bumpers off and cut out the drivers side floor. My plans for this are to keep it looking like it is for now, it doesn't look that bad except for the passenger side where it looks like someone brushed a guardrail pretty hard. All I have to do to get it drivable are weld in the new floors, figure out why the lights don't work, and get a relay wired up for the fuel pump. Then when I get home from college next May I'll be dropping in the longblock from the Pinks car along with a T5, R200, and ZXT CV's. It will all be controlled via Megasquirt using 750cc injectors, TO4S 60-1, and most likely stock ported manifolds:(. I'm hoping to hit 11's consistently on this, I'll just need a little luck with the T5, I'm still hearing a lot of mixed opinions on this tranny. I've been waiting to get a 240z since I bought my 280ZX, now the fun begins.

  3. Yeah, I really like that color too, too bad mine didn't turn out at all. This last car looks awesome, I'm starting to get jealous. I'd post pics, but there really aren't any good ones, lets just say my paint is much less than perfect, I used HOK gamma gold.

  4. it's really sad how most cops around here like to harass the guys with imports all the time, especially the newer ones, it seems they let their own opinion come into the decisions they make about the law. I've had an experience one time myself like this, except for I was in my z and the cop let me go while he gave some of my friends loitering tickets later on just because he said he used to have a z back in high school and never even mentioned that I was doing anything wrong. most of my friends drive newer imports and I see this all the time.

  5. I have posted this for sale in the classifieds. I don't have enough time to get my car running and reliable to finish this project. I'm leaving for college 1500 miles away and I have to have this ready to go with me. I will have enough to troubleshoot in the next couple months without this project on my hands. And I also have to get my friends z up and running before I leave. I'm flexible as far as price and payment are concerned and I'll trade for the right thing. I'm not looking to get a profit on this purchase I just need the money to get other stuff for my car plus all the little things that like to pop up. This should be a rather small project for an experienced fabricator, but for me it would take far too long.

  6. Well, it looks like I'm going to keep it, right now I'm looking at collecting all the tubes and using a runner to move the turbo closer to the front of the car. This will give me a lot more flexibility with the downpipe and will make the engine bay more unique. Anyone have an opinion as to what size tube I should use to accomplish this, I would put it kind of like J Taylor did on his RB Z, just lower of course. Would this hurt performance to use that much tube before the turbo? I will get some more pictures up once I decide what to do with this, but it might be a little while before I get some more up though, I still need to get my turbo shipped out to me and then I can figure out how much clearance I need.

  7. I recently bought that equal length manifold that was on ebay. I had planned on being able to just bolt this up with a little fabrication, it does bolt right up to the head, but the dp will be tricky so I'm not so sure if I want to go ahead and finish this project up. I would have liked to have just gotten an SFP manifold and bolted that right up, but I couldn't find any at all for sale. So does anyone still have an SFP they would like to trade for this one, I don't think I have the skill to finish this. Has anyone gotten an equal length manifold up and running on a single turbo L28, I would like to see some pictures if anyone has. Here is how it looks so far.
