  1. Thanks, I think I got it figured out, it has a magnetic pick up, yet the wire for the crank trigger was hooked up as if it didn't have a magnetic pick up. I got spark now
  2. Okay so I finally got the rear end figured out on this car, and put a battery in it and went to start it, but no go. I'm getting fuel but apparently no spark. Wondering if anyone out there has an msd ignition set up in there z car. I have a 6200 ignition box, and an 8360 spark timing control, msd distributor and a blaster 2 coil. The car has been sitting on jack stands for years, and ran before that. It seems kind of odd that the ignition box would just become inoperable. I tried the ignition spark test by removing the coil wire from the distributor, and the white wire and trying the whole touch to ground spark test but didn't get any spark. I'm getting my 12 volts from the red wire to the coil, I don't have another msd coil to test, I have an old bosch that I jumpered into but still no spark. Can anyone give me an idea
  3. My Father has a 1972 240 z that has been modified a bit, it has a 350 motor in it and a corvette rear end. The rear end was junk, so we got another one to replace it. The problem is I removed the rear end a few months ago, and now as I'm putting it back together I cannot for the life of me remember if the crossmember back there went underneath the mounting insulator of the diff, or on top of it. It doesn't make sense for it to go on top of it because of the sides, yet putting it under seems to require a whole lot of force to get up there making me curious about how this affects the pitch of the shaft. So does anyone out there have a z car with a corvette rear end?
