Very inspiring! I've used POR15 on a few camaros. Remember that it is extremely toxic and you need a quality respirator and ventilation. I've had good results also with RustBullet.

I really appreciate your reaching out, Pat. At this time, I'd prefer not to have a drivetrain but rather a shell or roller. Rick

Looking for a clean shell/car in boxes. Prefer 240 but 260 might be ok. I'm not looking to do any significant rust repair. Willing to travel approx 100 mi from 12404 zip.

My condolences. Nobody can truly be in your shoes. But, persevere.
Stock Brakes vs. Upgrades

Great topic. In the mid 70's I did time trials at Lime Rock in my 73 240Z which I bought new (sigh). The first outing I had no brakes after the first open practice. I upgraded the pads (don't remeber the brand) and changed the brake fluid to Castrol Dot4. No more fade and the car did well from that point on. For my needs, the stock setup worked. I also had slicks, the usual Bob Sharp acquired springs, koni's and sway bars. Off topic, but I was impressed with the improvement in rigidity from adding a bolt-in 4-point roll bar.
