I just got out of the Air Force, was a Crewcheif on C-130's, worked C.E. doing electrical work interior, exterior, cathodic protection, advanced fire alarm systems, and did structural mainteance on the KC-35's, aka sheetmetal, Im a civilian now on the job hunt!

Just wanted to say whats up to everyone on the hybridz forums
. I see some Z cars around Charlotte N.C. if anyone wants to show off their cars Im willing to check them out , need to get my blood boiling again since I unfortuantely had to give my 75 280z up

Yup, I could/would cut the steel sheets myself if I could get it to my job, the hyd shear at my job is larger than the one at the metal shop I went to

Hey big phil, how big are you. I believe I saw some weight gainer on the frig. I use to be 196lbs at 5'10'' and benched 330lbs, now after 2 shoulder surgeries Ill be try to get 200lbs benching over 330lbs

Ive decided to use 18 gauge, got it from a welding and machine shop. I didnt know i was going to get a 14.00 cutting charge though for 15 dollars of metal

I like they way that sunroof looks, I called an installer and was quote $850 installed.

I want to keep my sunroof now, but I dont want the gay pop-up that was installed. Anyone have pics of any Z's with electric sun/moonroofs installed

I was going to carb my ka24e-tin my 240zx, but everyone on 240sx.org said it wouldnt work too good. I should have done it to be different and to show them that It would work and for less money. I know a guy who has a 13b rx3 that runs 10's all day and hes carbed

The patch isnt flat, I actually got the shape down pretty good by eye balling the roof and making the patch at work, in the pic its over lapping on the passenger side/front so it doesnt fall through, Im taking my time with this job, i want to get the roof back to where it was before it was cut out

Heres an update of the sunroof patch, I cut out the patch and rolled it in a slip roller for the edges. I put the patch in the slip roller just off of center and let it sit there for awhile. Ill spot weld it in this weekend and clean everything up.

I dare not drive my Z in a N.D. winter -30 and less with wind chill, never would/never will, I would probably die in it, I use my navigator for the winter. I guess Ill take the ac and heater crap out and fab up a dash. I really dont plan on driving the Z in the rain unless I have to, which I probably will when I take my trip from N.D. to VA and N.C.

Just wondering who daily drives their Z with out a.c. and the heater. I wanted to removed all of that stuff and fab up a dashboard and center console out of aluminum since my dashboard is cracked pretty bad. I wont be driving my car during the winter, just during the warmer months for some daily and strip use. Anyone have problems with the windshield fogging up when you drive in the rain.

In his profile he says he has 265/35/18 on 9.5" rear wheel, front 225/40/18 on a 8.0 with tokico springs and struts(I would go with 17's). Also any clues to what rims they are custom or not, if not custom possible honda lug spacer maybe since its a newer looking rim. I like the way they look, but I really cant see the back, looks like theres a lip on them though.

My wife and I are in the Air Force, she got back from Iraqi not too long ago, Ill be going over the pond to the sandbox in a couple of months again.

Are you welding in a panel, or an entire roof off a donor?
Ive decided to take this car to the crusher!!! J/K, Im going to weld in a patch from another z car and brace it from the bottom. Simply enough Ive done patches on planes alot harder than this, it just that its such a large patch!

I don't know how many times I get asked that. Its a CG rendering (not real). Mines far faraway from looking something like that.
