So, I seem to have lost the pin & hair pin thing that hold the E-brake to the drum assembly. The 5 in the picture is pointing to the parts I need. I need both driver and passenger sides. If anyone is parting out a car or has an extra set of these laying around that they don't need anymore, send them on over to me :D

best way to reach me is by email or send me a txt. I can paypal. Thanks guys!

  2. From my research, there are two different types of starters for the 280zx, a Mitsubishi type and a Hitachi type.

I'm looking for the hitachi type. The best way to distinguish one from the other is looking at the starter where the output gear is located. If there are 3 Philips head screws, then that is the Mitsubishi type.

If you have a Hitachi starter, please contact me at: mrtaquito85@yahoo.com

    Thanks

  3. So, I need this plastic guide thing that goes on the passenger side of my LATE 74 Datsun 260z (I think 75-76 280z have the same setup). The broken plastic piece I believe goes riveted onto the metal piece that bolts up to the glass window, So I would need that whole assembly...

The 1st picture is of the metal assembly that bolts onto the window that I was talking about.

The 2nd picture is a close up of the broken piece and where it goes (more or less)

And the 3rd picture is the broken piece again, but now where it slides into.

I'm located in Los Angeles California, if anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks

  4. I have an inventory of gaskets that I got from an auto parts store that closed down a while back. I want to see if anyone is interested in trading their 72-73 240z for this inventory. Great opportunity if someone wants to re-sell them on eBay for a profit, or if you already have an auto parts store or shop and need to re-stock you can get em cheap here.

I did a super quick count and I got:

    86 Head Sets

    81 Head Gaskets

    209 Intake/Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

    64 Valve Cover Gaskets

    20 Transmission Pan Gaskets

    15 Differential Cover Gaskets

    10 Intake Splash Pans

    45 Timing Cover Gaskets Sets

    ============

    530 That I quickly counted

I didn't count the small gaskets or any of the gaskets in the last 3 pictures. The boxes of about 97% of these are in good shape, and couple of boxes are a little beat up.

If you were to sell all these at retail price, they're probably worth about $9,000-10,000. On eBay you'd probably get $5,000-6,000. (I averaged the head sets at $30 per set, and $15 for all the other gaskets to get an approx retail value). I figure I'll ask for a Z that's worth $2,000-4,000 would be a fair trade for this inventory.

The gaskets are located in Los Angeles, California. You are welcome to come check them out, just let me know and we can set up a date/time.

So, I want to get either a 72 or 73 240z with little to no rust. A manual transmission is a must. I would prefer a black interior. I want a car with up-to-date registration paperwork. I am open to all offers. Show me what you have and maybe we can work something out.

    And the pictures:
