  1. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a source for buying a front clip for a 1971 240Z. Specifially left front side, need to replace the sheet metal from the front of the strut tower on. I don't have much for junkyards around in Massachusetts that will have Z. thanks Paul
  2. Guys I was wondering if anyone has a good source where you can buy a left front clip (specifiaclly for a 1971 240Z.) The metal on the front portion of the unibody is slightly wrinkled from a light hit. Looking to replace the metal from the front of the strut tower on. thanks
  3. I completed the rear brake swap using 82 280zx calipers/ brembo rotors all on the Maxima bracket. Regarding the line connection from the hard line to the caliper. From SS hard lines (Classic tube) to SS braided flex line (EARLS) along with adapters. When I threaded the male adapter end into the caliper port I noticed that the caliper doesn't have an inverted flare within the port. Typically the seal (metal to metal)is made from the mating of the inverted flare in the caliper port to the flared tube end or female cone end on the adapter. The 10mm x 1 fitting end nut bottomed on the caliper body and I'm not certain if that will provide a proper seal. I'm not relying on the flat face on the nut against the caliper body to give the proper seal. I thought the male end of the connector would have a tapered end to provide the seal. The adapter look to be tapered but it didn't feel like the threads tightened as the connector went in the port. Any similar experiences. If I run into problems I was thinking of using an O-ring to provide a seal. Not certain if a Viton or Buna-N O-ring will not break down when contacting brake fluid. I'll have to dig up some info but I believe both are chemical resistant mat's. Any suggestions.
  4. From what I've read, if your engine is stock.. A 50HP shot is about the most you'll want to go. Unless your engine is built up (LD28 crank, forged pistons, rods etc). I've been looking in this myself.
  5. I just picked up the caliper adapter bracket P/N 44155-04S10. I called the local Nissan dealer Monday and they came in today. I asked the parts guy if they are a rare part. He didn't really know but when I ordered them he said that they showed up in his computer. I do know that he had to get them in from one of the main national Nissan parts warehouse. Told me they were located in California. Anyway picked them up for a hefty $118 total. Thought I'd share the info.
