  1. So you are all waiting on me huh? It's pretty lousy weather here today and I haven't heard back from my body guy as of this morning. Soooo the wait continues, sorry. D
  2. 1:36 Clutch bwhahahahaha. Tires have a way different smell than a clutch.
  3. OK the tail is hard mounted (was informed on Friday late) so I'll get over there and snap some pics either today or tommorrow. David
  4. If you're refering to the Scarab it's Olympic white.
  5. Well my body man covered up the spoiler to work on the rear hatch. I told him to focus on the rear hatch/spoiler combo because there were a lot of quesitons being generated about the Sparrow Tail. He went Area 51/Skunkworks on me I'll see what I can do as quickly as possible to get him to mount the tail and get some better pics. (lousy cell phone pics too)
  6. Few more updates, still working on fitment of Gnose. You can see the bracket that is supplied from the kit If you want the nose perfect you'll have to do some filling and sanding. If otherwise it is a bolt on nose, we're going for something close to perfect here. My body guy went area 51, skunk works on the Sparrow tail so it wouldn't get scratched up while working on the rear hatch so no new updates on what it looks like. We do have the RB-R's mounted with 275-40-17 tires and the coil overs cranked down to check for fitment. This is a standard ZG flair. This is the BAMF flair with a Rota RBR, you need 315's and an 11" wheel to fill this flair out. These are no longer mine but wanted to point out the difference between the two flairs.
  7. Interesting, although hybridz morphed from v8zcars.com Ah the good ole days....
  8. I've got the Zeddfinding frame rails if you're interested (you'll need them). PM me if you're interested. David
  9. I owned a 2003 Infiniti G35 MT6 sedan for about 3 years, it was an oil consumer though. I really liked the car; around town it was peppy, out on the hiway it was a nice quiet smooth ride, it handled well in the curves also. As it approached 100K miles I really started considering the oil issue and traded the car off as I didn't want a 3000lb paperweight in my driveway. So I wound up with a black on black 2007 Charger SRT8. I like it! (not my car but one just like it, mine is de-badged, has 5% tint on the windows and flowmaster exhaust with X pipe)
  10. This was a hot topic last Friday when we were installing the RT mount in my project car. We felt this would allow the rear end additional "slack" (up and down) if it was not bolted to the X member. I used a nissan mount on the bottom then the Energy Suspension mount on top. Looking at the "modded" front mount that Burntread has posted, this seems like a good way to go with out the added expense of the RT mount. I didn't much care for the RT mount, mine had the top hole off center and we had to modify it to accept the ES top mount. After further reading I did not find anybody else to run into this issue.
  11. ^^^^ This is correct the Series 1 cars did have the dif mounted further forward. Might want to contact Dave at AZZC.
  12. Try flipping the AZ moustache bar around the other way Ears should go toward the front of the car. pic courtesy of AZZC
  13. I'm working on it!!!! I'll ask my body guy to move forward with the mounting of the spoiler this week, drill holes etc. If you're expecting PERFECT carbon fiber on this part (weave) you may want to build your own. Although the CF is nice it is not perfect, there are some waves in the weave. It would be damn near impossible to get this part perfect with the shape of it. If you look closely you'll see that there are indentations on either side of the top of the spoiler that makes it very difficult to make perfect. It is however a very nice part, if what I wrote scares you consider the fiberglass one that Brian sells.
  14. Rear end is LSD with finned powder coated cover, up front we have a OEM Datsun front dif mount with a Ron Tyler bracket bolted in and an Energy Suspension poly mount sandwiched in between. Installing the RT mount was for us a PITA! First the top bolt did not line up with the mount hole, second we had to remove material from the TOP of the ES mount. Well it's in there now, nice and solid. The furthest rear X member was cut leaving the two bushing retainers, then using another custom piece from my brothers here at hybridz is the bar you see connecting the two sides together. MML coil overs and Tokico 5 ways, everything is powder coated. Should be good from 180HP to 450Hp I did have the axels cryo treated just in case
  15. $500 not bad. I'll wait for pics of rust, hope you don't find any/much. Personally I don't care for the 2+2 cars. Good luck with it.
  16. Time for another update. Rear suspension is in. The furthest rear X member was cut leaving the two bushing retainers, then using another custom piece from my brothers here at hybridz is the bar you see connecting the two sides together. MML coil overs and Tokico 5 ways, everything is powder coated. Enjoy. Wheels RB-R 17X9.5 -13 Tire Hankook 275-40-17
  17. I should have some rough installed pics up very soon in my build thread. You may want to subscribe to it. Link is in my sig.
  18. Post some more about your shattered 280Z turbo axels. What HP are you running etc. As LLave said sounds like something else is going on there.
  19. Looks like you're going to be running a R180 in it? Pic looks like fun
  20. Yeah I've got a set they're on my SCARAB. No need to behave like a punk on this board, we're just trying to help you out. The next qustion would be JTR position or Scarab position? Since you're looking for a Super Comp it would more than likely be a Scarab postioned engine ie more forward of the firewall. Are you learning YET? Summit had them but the part has been NLA for some time (looks availabe now), I knew of one guy trying to replicate the parts but don't believe he did so. I can follow up with him and see if it ever took off. A quick searh came up with this part number HOK2147 looks like they are in stock for $679.95 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-2147-1HKR?autofilter=1&part=HOK-2147-1HKR&N=700+115&autoview=sku To find that part number I used the SEARCH function on our site here search Scarab AND Hooker. Here is a good post http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=142559&highlight=scarab+header I won't reply to your post again either, I done spoon feeding you.
  21. Part number? Shorty header? Painted ceramic coated? You're too vague in your description.
  22. I just picked this up, traded in my 03 G35 sedan for it. The G was turning into one of those "oil consumers" So rather than having a 4k paperweight around I traded up to this: Plenty of power! Charger SRT8
  23. ^^^ You got a better way of ID'ing one in traffic? He's just stating the facts.
  24. I wanted to do the same thing to my 73 but was talked out of it. You should have another set made up and sell those front's I'm pretty sure there would be a market for a few (several) sets.
