  1. Will, Shoot me a PM when this happens, my 240 is still in the building process built yet yet but I'll take my 91TT down. Ask Mat (flatblack) about my "project" I'm up here in Bella Vista. Here's a link to the build http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/63391-resurection-now-becoming-1tufzg-z/ David

    Sad day

Insurance.... When YOUR car is damaged should YOUR insurance be batting for you? I had a small accident a few years ago, State Farm told me not to even speak with the other insurance company.
  3. If you're interested, it will be completed and probably up for sale in the spring. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/63391-resurection-now-becoming-1tufzg-z/ I used to own a Scarab, sold it over a year ago, initial asking price was $25K sold for less but you'll be hard pressed to find one in the condition mine was in for a "good" price. David
  4. Time for a small update, wiring the car will begin next week with a painless wiring harness I picked up. Also the car will get the front "clip" painted and reattached. Looking to have this one on the road by spring time. (keeping fingers crossed!!!)
  5. Ok I officially suck! Superb job fellow z car guy. Kudos to you!!!
  6. Bad dog sub frame connectors at the back end of the frame rails. Zeddfindings floor pans, bad dog frame rails.
  7. A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.†― Josh Billings Miss my "Bear" gone 2 + years now. Has always been my avatar, since Feb 2000
  8. I have a 3 piece fiberglass wrap around spoiler and a BRE style spoiler if interested. Both need some glass work, nothing major.
  9. Having owned the Scarab and now doing a full resto on a 72, I can apperciate the work that goes into the cars. It muddies the waters when you can build a totally complete first generation Camaro with only a frame nowadays. There is still not a "one stop shop" for the restoration of an early Z car. Think NPD and the vast array of parts available. We have to shop high and low for a set of super clean 1st gen taillights! If and when you find them expect to pay premium price for them. The yellow car, how much do you thing the frigging headlight covers cost for that car? I've got a set NIB Nissan that I couldn't replace for $800+!!! I've got a set of new 240 tails, door panels, fender mirrors, clear front turn signal lenses all Datsun/Nissan parts. That's roughly $2500 in parts alone. If you love "Z's" great but if you choose to "restore" one think long and hard because there is no ROI in these cars in the current market IMO.
  10. Would you be interested in my project? Most of the hard work is done. Search in members projects: Resurection now becoming 1TUFZG Z We can discuss price and options off line. David.
  11. Ran these on my old car, steering shaft slightly touched but did not interfere with steering. On my current build I had the steering shaft extended so now it clears with out issue. Don't know how that happened but the shaft I was using was about 3/4" too short. (maybe different year cars/parts)
  12. If Warren doesn't come through for you let me know, I have a set of G-nose cover new in the box and I'm about 4 hours south of you in Bella Vista AR. PM me if interested. David
  13. Just my opinion, they're aren't many Scarabs running around, I sold mine to a guy in Norway so that's one less here in the U.S.

Putting the Scarab logo on a car would be like putting a "type R" sticker on any car, just bad taste IMO.

    Thanks for asking though!

  15. another hbz member has asked me to produce 'scarab' fender emblems in vinyl. i like the idea but wanted to ask a scarab owner their thoughts on this? i also saw another member who [i believe] owns a scarab and is possibly reproducing billet fender emblems.

don't want to step on any toes...

    thanks,

  16. Hi, saw a picture of your white Z in the Rota group buy thread. Just curious what spoiler you have on the car, looks nice. Is it carbon?

    Thanks

  17. I have an entire clutch set up plus flywheel for a WC T-5 SBC I believe the clutch is a Ram, flywheel was resurfaced. Parts have est 1000 miles on them. Clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and I have a throw out bearing too, I upgraded to a CF stage2 and billet FW so I don't need the parts. I'll have to take pics when I get home this weekend. Make offer via PM Shipping is from Ark 72712
  18. I'll have some with the tank installed later this week. d
  19. Here is a pic of the passenger side.
  20. Fuel system Plumbing Hunting for this part for the drivers side
  21. Let's see if this works. RB-R's with 275-40-17 on rear of car, fenders cut.
  22. My wife "stole" my FFR Cobra twice....first time ran out of gas, second time earned an awsome burn on her left calf from the side pipe while getting out of the car. Vindictive car ha-ha. Too bad I sold the cobra to get the Scarab, which she would NEVER touch! Ahhh women and cars, they either "get it" or they don't, guess it depends on the car too ha-ha. Sounds like you got a keeper there though. Have fun changing those diapers!
  23. Check Bad dog parts, google them.
  24. Of course, as soon as I can, if you've ever dismantled a unmolested/uninjured (smash! bang! ouch!) car you'd know what I mean. Personally I've never seen one on the drivers side (or maybe I did and I pitched it????) BUT they have to exist because there was a foam line on the drivers side inner fender where it butts up against the fender, makes sense on what its purpose is. Still need one though.....
