  1. I wish, it sits under cover waiting for winter and time.
  2. No change on trans for me, this one is all mounted with shifter and all. I just need to pull the engine again and work on getting the 2 to mount together properly. my adapter might need some extra block bolts among other things.
  3. Waiting on time, money, etc... mostly time. Life happened. Still having issues with my adapter But I'm moving ahead slowly- working on piping, throttle cable is almost done, radiator pipes getting closer.... but I'm sitting here with a bum ankle The radiator is a 2 core griffin, needed reverse inlet/outlet.
  4. Stock fire wall, coolant neck has to be cut down and a hose bead added to except a 1.5" tight 90 hose.
  5. Slowly making some more progress...
  6. Some progress... lots of painting, undercoating, new plumbing, etc, etc.
  7. Here you go...use at your own risk. s30badapt.zip
  8. Turned the hubs a bit to fit in the rotors, drilled rotors, made caliper bracket. Lots of different brake lines will work, 240SX etc. To be more correct their 99 Camaro brakes, same as the vette but cheaper... much cheaper. $75 per caliper (including bracket, reman), $30 per rotor. $210 HD 12" brakes. The calipers are aluminum and have lots of friction area. Pad choice is great. I'll post the .DXF file of the bracket I made. I made my bracket out of 3/8 steel. 1" OD x 1/2" ID x 7/8" tall bushings are required to space the caliper properly.
  9. Doing my budget corvette (gm anyhow) brakes and finishing the trans crossmember.... big vented rotors and twin piston aluminum calipers. I could do 12.75" rotors but they might not fit behind 16" wheels (going to run 16x8 sport max panasport esk wheels).
  10. I built new manifolds today... and some other things too.
  11. There's no advantage for this swap (vs. VQ), just happened to have all the parts laying around... I like the iron block, good for boost. Not to mention the SHO has a completely different tone compared to the VQ. Oh well, its not like dropping a iron head 305 SBC... I'm sure the weight will be worth the power.
  12. Motor and transmission mount pictures... Anybody need a fresh L28 with a cam?
  13. Correct, I already lopped 1.5" off a spare pan and added large kickouts on each side of the sump....I'll do some kind of baffle or swinging door setup to keep slosh down. Amazing that hunk of a 6spd fits in there with reasonable clearance.
  14. I just checked hood clearance, with a 1/2" spacer under the intake I have 3/8 min clearance (modeling clay). the pan is getting kick outs on each side. Shifter will be easy to make work retaining stock location. I flipped the rear surge tank over and it clears the stock hood latch I'm going to mod a 350 CM flywheel for the SHO pattern and hub size. Its coming along nicely, no downsides yet.
