  1. I am going to look at a late 70s 260 that has been sitting for a while. I have no doubts it will have the plague we call rust. How far does a frame have to be before you guys would try to repair? I can get a pretty good deal ($500 or less). I was hoping some of you may have pics or examples of what you've fixed before so I can get a better idea of whether or not what I'm looking at can be salvaged. The car has a clean title, just a bad motor. I plan to swap in either a SBC or 1JZ and push around 375-450whp max, maybe less depending on how the power/weight ratio works out. Point being, I expect to do some reinforcing anyway. I've been looking for a cheap Z project for a while and one kinda fell into my lap, if I want it. If anyone has any examples of repaired frames I'd appreciate suggestions or ideas before I go look this car over. Thanks everyone!
  2. I love the car, and hate you because you own it and not I! lol Seriously, it never gets old seeing that style rim on a red & black Z. Love it! Someday I hope I can have something on par with that.
  3. I know you were kinda turned off by the lack of comments and replies, but most people here are just lurking (like myself) and thinking about their own plans. I agree with you about the JZ parts being cheaper than RB stuff. There's A LOT of guys running the 1 and 2 JZ platform so when they sell their parts you can snag great deals. You have more or less created the build I plan to do in the future. It looks great and is squeeky clean. Congrats!!
