  1. Ive checked both the rotor and the dizzy.... But the car actually works now, and it seems that the guy at carparts store gave me the wrong plugs. When I took a look at them they where all dark black, so after switching to the old ones the car ran perfectly. And just to be clear.... what plugs do you guys recommend.. The car had Ngk Bp7es when I bought it, and the ones Iv´e been trying to run is Ngk Bpr7e. cheers.
  2. Hehe... Ok, thats one way to do it. Wich gasket are you reffering to, headgasket? But i still think my problem has to do with the ignition, a blown gasket wouldnt make my distrubuter cap pack in after 2 hours of driving. best regards pj
  3. Tjena.... ( Swedish for Hi ) First of all, excuse my grammar and spelling.... me not english wery god well here´s the problem, and trust me I´ve searched the forums for quite a while, and just cant find anyone with the same problem. The car is an 280zx stock injection non turbo. And what happens is that the spark "jumps" arround inside the ignitercap ruining it just after a couple of hours of drivning. And as we speak the car i acting irrational...hehe. When I fire it up ti runs on just 5 cyls for the first 5 minutes and then i kinda gets it right and fires up the last cylinder. This dosent always happen, sometimes it starts on all 6 and just runs perfectly..... The worst part is that it dosent matter if the engines cold, if it has been raining or ive just driven it. So please could someone just give me some info on common issues whith ignition on the old Z:s. Cheers...
