Don't know if I'm the first, but I had this idea for a while to gut my extra 260z dash that was really cracked. It took about 1 to 2 hours. So far I stripped the exterior foam, removed the wiring harness, and removed the center gauges. At that point I stopped and put it back in the car to get a rough idea of what it looked like. What do you guys think? The dash frame itself is pretty light. The only thing weighing it down are the stock gauges.
