Veritech- z If the price was right I might by all the flares to help you out and keep them as spares for my ride.

Yep that kit is very similiar to mine if not the same...
-
Ya I think I'm going to keep the car. We'll see about the vents.

I would suggest with that kit that you fill in the 2 openings on the front side of each rear fender if you do not do an inner fender on them. All kinds of road dirt and rocks will come through there' date=' I know from experience. I actually filled them in because I did not set it up for brake cooling ducting before installing the fenders. I only wanted the rears because I did not care for the front fenders and the rectangular headlights and the back brake in the body flow lines. If you want to add some strength to those fenders along with improving sound, then fill the panels with foam in a can. For this it works well.
About swapping engines. The cheapest, easiest way will be going with a small block (350 chevy) You will need a low profile air cleaner and it keep the intake manifold low also and you should be fine with closing the hood afterwards. Good luck and that car should end up being a lot of fun.[/quote']
I had thought of possibly doing that before sending to paint just because I think it would look better. great idea on the foam!! I have a cowl hood as well so if I need the extra clearance I should be good:wink:

Not until I have it in the driveway

what's the new project???

Looks like I am going to sell this if someone wants it. I just found another project today:biggrin: . See the classified section if anyone is interested. If I don't sell I will continue to build this, but it is going to take a back seat probably.

sorry for the poor quality photos... they are all I have right now.

Anyone want to recommend someone to do the install? I want to get it on the road quick and can not do that by myself. I know of United Speed World and Engine Labs(but they are pricey) and have several friends at shops, but I either don't trust them with it or they don't want to mess with V8's. I already have the car set up as it had a 383 stroker in it before I bought it. I believe it is the Scarab kit with a TH350 and everything else should still be there for the most part. Don't want to spend a lot as I still have paint and interior to do, but I don't want a crappy install either. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have had two people ask me if I would sell the car and all I can say is for the right price almost anything is for sale, but I am not going to build this car to sell it would have to go the way it is before I paint it and buy an engine.
I am not looking to sell, but....??

Thanks, now I have to pick a color.

It was a running car that actually won some shows in it's day... which was some time ago:)

No he sure didn't.

Missing something for now

Thanks to everyone for the feed back. To those that asked I may be willing to part with the wing as I am not so sure if it's my taste yet.

should I buy a new or used engine? I don't need 500+ HP in this car and would like a lighter engine and some that will be a direct replacement for the previously installed 383 to keep labor to a minimum.

Alright this is very new for me. I am no stranger to high hp cars, but they have been a different breed. My last 3 where MKIV TT and Single turbo Supras. I have been wanting something different and have always enjoyed my Datsuns so I started looking for a boosted 240z and found this instead.
I will keep everyone updated on the progress and will take lots of pics as time goes on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The car is complete, but needs paint and the 383 stroker has been removed. Any suggestions on a new engine setup? It currently has a th350.

I could use them as is or cut/ remove the extra flare. It would be easier than rebuilding one if it got hit in an accident:idea:
