  1. I'm going for a mixture. I want to get in shape, six-pack etc. but I don't want to be mistaken for a mountain. I would like to be "built" but not so much that you can trace my veins like those "Mr. Olympia" contestants.

  2. Okay, here is the deal, i am in a marketing class and i am supposed to do a marketing plan on any subject of my choosing. the one i have decided on is forced induction, be it supercharger or turbo charger. i have done a good bit of research, but i want to be sure that i am not missing anything. we aren't supposed to market a product, we are marketing the benefits of the product. can anyone who has a lot of experience with such things give me a list of some of their percieved benefits of forced induction.

also i need to do a small poll on wheather or not it appeals to people and what market they fall into. so please be so kind as to do my little poll thing.

thank you all for your help. i really need & appreciate it.

  3. okay, I have 2 300zx's one with the motor out & one with a motor needing a rebuild. my dad has found a decent condition 85 Corvette for $2,000 and I have $1,000 in the bank. does anyone think it would be a good idea to sell my Z's to get the Vette? I am sure I could get at least $1,000-$1,500 for both plus my extra parts. does anyone else agree? please let me know what you think, better yet let me know if you want to buy them.

  4. other sites are filled with people who are close minded, rude, and who dont care unless you have a perfect car. this site nobody teases you for being dumb, ideas are critisized and discussed but people are never attacked. and thats something all levels of enthusiast can appreciate. this is the one group of people that always made me feel welcome whether it be at events or on these boards. so please lets keep this up!

why do i have a feeling you are talking about Zbum when you mention the attacks....i know exactly how you feel, this is the only site i check religiously. everyone here is just cool, and are actually willing to think outside of the box.

  5. i've been told to SEARCH before, and i admit that it did piss me off, but i found out alot of information doing the searches. it does piss people off, and run some of them off, but if they are willing to quit after being simply told to search i doubt they were very serious about any ideas or plans they had.

  6. well I just got off the phone with 2 people. my supplier found me a rebuild kit & crank kit for a total of $600 shipped. the other is my buddy Shaun who is basically a nissan guru around here. he has an RB25DET 280z that is just nasty. he said he will rebuild it & everything for $300. so yay me. I will have the parts ordered monday and then I will just go from there. wish me luck.

  7. as long as i don't get on it hard and try to accelerate it sounds fine, but if i actually floor it it sounds.....bad. a really bad knock and when in park and you rev it up there is a weird sound, which the mech told me was the messed up bearing.

  8. the mechanic that i took it to said that it was a spun bearing, and he knows his job pretty well. i know, from what i've read/heard, that i need to basically get the crank replaced, that is the point of getting the crank kit. lol and even if i don't absolutely have to have the motor rebuilt, i might as well get it done while it is out. who knows, if i am able to save up some extra money i might beef it up a little at the same time.

  9. so do I need a full rebuild or just a new crank kit? I would love some advice from grumpy, cozy, or anyone else who can build a motor with there eyes closed. lol. thanks for the support, I guess the point of a project car is to be worked on, and if it is down for a few weeks/months oh well.

  10. okay, i have calmed down now and thought everything out. i have put plenty of money into this car already, and i was gonna sell it and get another project...but then all i would be doing is putting money into another car and starting lower than where i am at now, so i am just going to rebuild this one. just wondering if anyone knows of a good company to get a rebuild kit from. i saw this one, and i was wondering if anyone has dealt with them before, and if so how they liked it.

also, my buddy said that i would need a crank kit since i spun a bearing, and was wondering if anyone knew of a good dealer for those. this is the one i looked at, and i was wondering if it was worth it
