  1. Glad to hear I'm not alone! How do you like it? I'm aching to get mine installed... gotta re-time the engine before I can get it off the stand though, then I get to drop it in to my halfway done car haha

Feels like a clutch? IDK? lol. Its a bit stiffer than stock but not a huge amount that would be super noticeable.

  2. What are people with triple webers using for a throttle return spring? I have 1 currently on the middle carb, but that doesnt feel like enough? It doesnt pull the throttle shut 100%. Is there a 1 stop option I can buy that comes with everything I need? (not good at making stuff)

  3. Im putting a l28 with the zx 5spd into my 70 240z. I've read its all straight forward from what I've seen, but I have 2 questions, first being do I have to do anything to the transmission tunnel or shifter hole, and secondly do I need the drive shaft from the car im getting this out of?

  4. No money for the triple webers right now. Is that your plan? Still going with coilovers? I'm thinking Tokico Illuminas within the next 4-6 months.

Btw I'm glad you kept your car too. I'd like to see some pics with the rims. The funny thing is...I bought this Z before that money came in...and now I'm getting the back pay on the first.

I prefer to keep the SU's for a while. I don't mind tinkering with them as long as they'll get me from point A to point B. They along with the engine pull hard despite all the fumes. When I get new tires I'll drive it a little more spiritedly. Once I rebuild the carbs and get some 1974 flat top needles or SM needles, I'll make another decision. An L28 with or without a turbo is not out of the question either.

Yep put triples on last week, put coilovers on a few weeks back. 373898_10150334849797452_61255482451_8251904_1469113335_n.jpg

  5. The car is looks good but needs a lil more power under the hood. I am strongly considering building a 350 SBC and swapping it in place of the current L24. The goal would be to have 300hp/300tq at the wheels.

The only thing holding me back is the fact that i love the sound of my current straight 6 and am not sure I’d like the sound of the SBC as much.

I'm currently debating between the high compression L28 motor or a 350 SBC.

The HC L28 would only give me around 170hp at the wheels but would sound awesome; the 350SBC would give me 300hp but would sound like a truck motor.

Why not put an rb20 in? It all bolts in with stock z31 JDM motor mounts....
