  1. HI, i´m from barcelona, Spain. I bought a Datsun 240z from California on year 2006, when i have the car in my hands a restoration was done in my house and the work was maked with no help from professional personel. i maked in my free time and of course with the help of this forum.

this is a short video of my restoration:

and this is a short video of the original engine after i take off the car:

i hope in a month or two i make a new video with the new engine running. At this moment the car runs, but i don´t have time to make a video.

    thanks for all boys.

p.d.: if anybody can fit the videos directly i agree. thanks

  2. hi i´m involved in swap the 240sx s14 diff vlsd in my 240z, but i need a new axle´s shorten, i listen that modern motorsport have it, but i look on the web site an not target the item that i want. previous i send an email but, no answer.

i need new cv shaft complete asembly.

i have the s14 cv shaft, anything else for make the hybrid shafts?

anyone knows the lenght for the new shafts? maybe i could modify my s14 shafts and shorten by professional hands.

tell me anything for help me, actually i have a 240z solder and shorten shafts, but you know that this is not the secure thing on the world.:-(

i need new cv shaft complete asembly.

  3. weld of course. when i bought my 240z mine´s are filled with bondo and have a bad aspect :fmad:. i back the system to the original handles:mrgreen:.

but if you like shaved handle door, please weld it for no problems on future with bondo.

    i hope this helps.

  4. you need to make your own engine an trans mounts.

the best way is to fit the entire electrical install with oem ecu from your sylvia clip.

you need to change the fuel lines of the z.

the measure of the driveshaft depends on the engine position.

and yes you can use your stock rear end.

    i hope this helps.

  5. hi, i´, involved in the same swap too, and maybe i can clarify i little.

first if you forward a bit from the steering rack, your gear shift goes forward a bit more and no matches with the chasis hole. you need to modify a little the sterring rack for match the gear shift with the chasis.

i used a sr20det s14 240sx european model with 5 speed tranny, i used a hlaf of the original s14 240sx driveshaft(the first part, is the part that exit from the tranny) and then i made a coupler for match with the original 240z differential(in short future i want to fit the s14 240sx lsd differential).

    but it´s ok for now.

if you want i can send you pictures of this. send me your email via mp.

    i hope this helps.

  6. hi, i tell you in few words. This is swap is all custom made, you need to made all the mounts your own. and the rest is all home made too(exhaust, driveshaft,etc...).

    enjoy with swap.

  7. if i´m in true i know this:

    n60 is a q45 maf?

    n62 is a z32 maf?

it´s similar both mafs? i know the pinout is same, the inlet diameter is the same, but the resitance(ohms) are the same? the output voltage is the same?

can a n60 maf work well with a n62 reprogramed ecu? it´s possible that the a/f reads too rich for the reason that i put a n60 maf with n62 reprogramed ecu?

i´m thankfull for all the help that you can provide to me.

    thanks.
