  1. Ok yeah i forgott to mention that. why would you run higher cr and lower boost for a drag car. Could someone explain this? thanks

  3. Ok here is the deal i wanna get peoples opinions on higher compresion and lower boost or lower compression and higher boost. Ok so I did the math and found at 8.1 to 1 running 28 lbs of boost I would get the same final compression ratio as if I were to run 9 to 1 at 15 lbs of boost. So I will make a poll High or low compression.

  6. The car will be raced on a drag strip as that is all we really have around here. I Would like to have the ablity to make 700hp before nitrous.
  7. Ok well afer more research and satans help i have an idea. So here goes. I plan on running the je pistons, eagel rods, complete head work, advanced fuel system,romulator, A Tec2 stand alone,ported intake with q45 tb, 88 turbo tranny and rear end. Ok my big question is where can I get custom 1/2 inch fuel rails for a vg30et and what compresion ration should I run. From what I figure you can only run 12 to 1 on pump gas. So what I am trying to figure out is what compresion ration should I run and what boost to run. I am thinking 8 to 1 20+ pounds of boost. I am trying to make 600-700 hp. Any other information I may have left out ask and I will tell you. I am at sea level. All the charts and equations I have done sit me at such a high final compresion ratio I would have to run nine psi which I think is a bit low. Any help would be apriciated. thanks
  8. Ok well i figured it out. My starter is gone. I am getting a new vg30et motor with tranny. So its all good.

  11. i was looking at JWT 4bar injection system for the z31 vg30et and was wondering if it would work with around 600-700hp. Also what other injection options are there. I plan on completely re working the engine. I would like to know what kind of rods would be best. I plan on using the car for drifting and drag racing, and some scca. I know you cant build a multi purpose car so i will do the best i can. Drifting seems fun and drift and drag is all we really have here so i will mostly focus on that. I would just like to know what brands are good and at an reasonable price. For pistons and rods. I also plan on upgradeing the turbo but i am not sure what i want to run yet. I would like to make a ton of boost IMO 20-30lbs should be achevable but i am not sure I have only delt with turbos on desil engins. thanks
  12. ok the that explains alot the gronds are not connected. i will put them so you all can see. i amgoing to do a full tune up and clean it up nice and sell it then buy this guys 88 that i just need. lol thanks

  14. ok well i had the car running the other day and it ran a little rough no big so that night put a good battery in it and it wont start. here are some pics of wires laying around can yall give me an idea and help me out a bit. thanks the yellow wire thought that is were it goes. looks to be a battery connection. Black and yellow wire attached tothe subframe but not connected. thanks
  15. yeah thats why i was planning on doing the rear also. I have to make a pathc panal for the left rear so i since it is a project i will have the time to cut the rear ones off and cut some off an 86 in the j yard and align and weld them up to the 85. The front should be easy to do. As soon as i get all that done i will strip the car down to just a rolling chassis to do all the body and paint work.

  17. yeah i am not sure if i am getting rid of it i will probably try to fix it. It isnt much so i am sure i can handel the small rust issuse I can tell it was hit not hard but it was likes someone rubed against it and it casued that problem. so i am going to keep it and go along with my plans i am going to talk to a body guy and see what he says and then if it is good and an easy fix then i will continue as planned. do you know what year the 300 is in my link
  18. what he was talking about was get it running nice and clean it up a bit. Not go into it that deep. i know i would never get that back. i am thinking of calling the j yard and see if they have any 87-88 bodies around that got hit in the front and i will just cut the back fenders off and weld them on to mine. That would take care of the rust.it is only surface rust but it is dented so i can replace the front fender easily and door but that back peice where the rust is will be different. I looked under and inside the car and there is not a bit of rust on it. I think what happend is he sanded it down to fix where it was hit and never painted over it.
  19. oh and i think it can be fixed easily. I was planning on goning to the jyard and cutting each side off and doing the same to mine and welding them back on so tha would fix the rust it is not much but i will look at it more.

I was also wondering if anyone knew how i could get ahold of this guy http://mark86t.zmobiledetailing.com/gallery/main.php I was also wondering if i could replace my front with the 87 front and the fenders as well as the rear fenders is it very hard? I have rust on one so was thinking i should go nuts anyway.lol or could i take the entire back shell off and put the 88 shell on? thanks
  22. ok. Yeah my dad was thinking i was just going to fix the car up and sell it to buy a nicer one what do yall think. I think it could make a cool car but i am not sure what i want to do at this point. I would like to go through with the plans but i would also like to get a dautson 280 or some other good handeling,fast car. Yeah i was thinking that i have heard people running 700hp on the stock cranks so cool.
