  1. Alright, I read noodle's post during my break today, and it was the first thing I tried and it worked perfectly.

I can see how BRAAP's way works, but the spring compressor I have is not that style.

Thanks guys, Problem solved.....Now I wait till I have the money to get it machined.

  2. I started disassembling my P90 today and got 8 of the 12 valves out really easy. The last 4, not so much.... something is making the valve and the keeper stick together I tried som penetating oil but it didnt seem to help. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use to get the last 4 valves off?

    Thanks,

    Travis

  3. Alright, I started working on it today, and got all the rocker arms and pivot cups removed. I also got 9 of the valves off thanks to my new spring compressor I bought today. The other valves, the keeper seems to be seized to the valve....I sprayed it with some penatrating oil and let it soak in but nothing. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the last 4 valves off?

  4. My P90 arrived today(thanks abes). The plans are to completely disassemble it and get her cleaned up. Then:

    *Shave and shim it .080

    *3 Angle

    *SS valves

    *MSA Cam Kit

    *Kameari adjustable cam sprocket

*Custom intake (1 fast z's flange unless someone else offers some CAD drawings to where my uncle's machine shop can build me something)

    *minor combustion chamber shaping

    *port and polish

I've read all the stickied threads, and I've read How to rebuild you L28 and How to modify your L28....any thing else I should know before starting? Any info will help.

    Thanks guys

  5. ya, I've read all the stickies as well as How to rebuild your L28 and How to Modify your L28 and I'm pretty sure I can handle it. I'm going to take lots of pictures of the 2mm shave and shim mod so I can post a "how to" thread and get it stickied.

Anyone know of any dyno's or flowbenches in the IL, IN area?

  6. I currently have an N47 but I'm building a P90 to swap. Will the MSA 6-1 header I already have work on the P90? I know the N47 has oval exhaust liners and the P90 has square, so I don't think it'll work.

  7. Once I'm finished with shipping out these prototype flanges I will release the 3D cad data for the flange and plenum base. That way anyone that wants to can make one of these flanges.

    Justin

Any idea when that will be? I have a machine shop at my disposal so it would be much cheaper if I had the CAD drawings and could machine it myself

    Thanks,

    Travis

  8. I'm not trying to go budget on my head build, Thorfin is mailing me a sample shim, and I'm having a family member(has his own machine shop) machine me custom cam tower shims to whatever height i need. I'm going stainless valves to be able stronger. I'm getting a MSA Cam kit, Kameari adjustable cam sproket, custom intake(either 1fastz's flange or JustinOleson's flange), port and polish....so i'm definatly not tryin to go low budget....

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get 200+ out of a N/A car, just let me know

  9. I'm swapping the rebuilt P90 in the same time I put Forged flat-top pistons on and bore 1mm over. And I plan on shaving/shimming the head so that it boosts the CR. Also putting on SS valves to be able to withstand the heat that about 75-100 hp shot of nitrous will produce.

I already have a header and new exhaust, so that is taken care of.

I'm either looking getting a lonewolf intake or make/buy one from the flange that Justin has been working on. Along with a new throttle body I should be making some decent horsepower.

If anyone has any suggestions, just let me know. I'd like to keep it N/A but put nitrous on.
