  1. Hi. I am in the process of trying to remove the intake and exhaust manifolds on a 77 280 and am stuck at trying to get the heat shield off. one book says one screw holds it but I am d%^%if I can find it I have the 4 bolts out (two short and two long and that is where I`m stopped. ??? any help will be appreciated Richard

  2. I have a drivers door thats is dinged up badly, looking to replace.

The only car i can find at the J-yard is a 78 280z.

ive looked around and heard they wil fit as long as you leave 260 hinges on, and just change out the doors, but others saying it will not work.

Need a straight cut anwser pleeeeeeeease!

I would save the 260 doors, my 280 doors weigh a ton. They have those big beams in for crash protection. Find a good sheetmetal worker you should be able to have him/her make a new skin. I had one at the local heating ventilating (hvac)shop do a copy of a rocker using the opposite side rocker for a pattern also new hach panels. They are Tradesmen and like me love a challenge

  3. I built a cedar strip kayak for my wife awaile back, and it is tough as nails. If you did the sameto the lip I don`t think you would be sorry. stay away from the body shop type of resin. West system or simmilar (search Bear mountian canoes?)resen takes overnight to set but you have a lot of time to smooth out. Do resin, glass, resin ,resin sand, resin ,sand,paint..Allso easy to repair.
